I have an obsession with all things Winter. But in Southern California where I’m from, to really enjoy a snowy Winter means a 2-3 hour drive up the mountains, and I would have to get a 4WD. Or worse, chains! So, rather than going through the trouble, I was inspired to organize a Winter themed wedding shoot to satisfy my Winter fantasies.
I’ve envisioned a Winter wonderland in the woods, filled with the things I love about the season that are lacking where I live – snow, frost, pines, pine cones, and berries. I incorporated these elements into the details, from the bridal hair wreath, bouquet, and boutonniere (all put together myself), to invitation designs and table settings. And what better place to do it in than under a romantic and magical oak tree branching over us?
I am most proud of the Wintery bouquet that I put together. I didn’t want a typical or traditional flower bouquet that you see at most weddings or styled shoots. I wanted something unique, adding a bit of winter sparkle. Keeping the elements in mind, I opted for several frosty branches, long berry stems, and a pair of icy blue and silver poinsettias to complete the look.
With the help of my amazing team of event planner, models, and vendors, every detail came together beautifully, bringing my vision to life. This shoot was a dream come true for me and I am beyond excited for an opportunity to share it with you.
